Ask a Doctor uses artificial intelligence to provide general health information only. It can discuss symptoms, suggest self-care, interpret lab values you upload, and help you decide when professional care is appropriate.
AI responses are generated by OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini model based on the message and any context you choose to share. The app passes your messages to OpenAI and returns the AI-generated text to you.
The app is not a medical doctor, a diagnosis, a prescription, a substitute for professional medical advice, or an emergency service. It does not establish a doctor-patient relationship.
For chest pain, stroke symptoms, severe bleeding, breathing difficulty, anaphylaxis, suicidal thoughts, or any life-threatening situation, call your local emergency number immediately (112 in Turkey / EU, 911 in the US, 999 in the UK). Do not rely on this app for emergencies.

You retain ownership of the messages, images, and files you submit. By submitting them, you grant us a limited license to forward them to OpenAI for the sole purpose of generating a response. We do not claim ownership of your content and do not use it to train models.

The app is supported by interstitial ads served via Google AdMob. Ad behavior is governed by Google's policies. You may limit ad tracking through your device's privacy settings.
